In the last week we signed a partnership agreement with e-Novia, a company spin-off of Politecnico di Milano, focused on technological innovation. We will work together in further development of Goliath, and we will begin in the next days! So, now we are getting ready to make some hardware tests…
From CAD to prototype 2.1
We have designed a new prototype, with a steel chassis, bearings, shafts, pulleys and belts; in order to have better mechanical performances. Most of the parts we choose are already on the market, used as components for 3D printers and CNC desktop machines. So we ordered those on-line, and the other were commissioned to a specialized company.
Once all the components have arrived, we stared to assemble the prototype. This job committed our saturday, but we were entusiasth and happy to start made some mechanical test to check if the new design was alright.
Check out a quick preview of the prototype 2.1 and its assembly process below!
Soon we will start to test some electronics and sensors to make Goliath move better and better!
